June 30th, 2012 is Orland River Day!

Orland River Day is a town celebration held each year on the last Saturday in June (rain or shine) - complete with a parade, food, crafts, a "Downeast" raft race and many other activities.  This will be 36th year for this day of celebration.  Everyone is involved: the Orland United Methodist Church, the Town Office crew, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, the Orland Fire Department, the Orland Historical Society, and all the citizens of Orland. 

 Activities include:

• Raft Race

• Miss Orland River Day Pageant

• “The Crazy Family Fun Magic Show”, featuring: Danny A. Baker, Maine’s Funniest Magician!

• Chili-makers ! Enter your best chili! 

• A Silent Auction – many awesome items

• Raffles – take a chance on three different raffles

• Lots of games & prizes for kids

• Great Pond Mountain Eco Tour

• Slow Pitch Softball Tournament

• Merchandise vendors

• Food vendors

• Parade – featuring Donald & Daisy Duck

• Cannonball Contest

• Street dance for all ages
